Tulum Ruin.We stop halfway, in Tulum, for lunch, food shopping and to enjoy the Mayan site, famous as one of few close to the ocean.
Balamku Lounge.We then continue to our destination of Balamku Inn in Mahahual. This is our home base for our cooking classes, and the duration of the tour.
¿Cómo están tus huevos?Well learn tasty Mexican dishes, some alongside our Mexican cooks, for lunch or dinner, while fantastic breakfasts are prepared by our local staff.
Our white beach.On day trips away from the Inn we may visit the famous Chacchoben ruins which are not far away, or the old fort and other sites at Bacalar.
Fresh ocean air.The Bacalar cenotes are seven freshwater sinkhole lakes reflecting many different colours of turquoise and blue depending on their depth.
Balamku Beach.A lovely beach we have, and a reef a few hundred meters out, stretching along the entire Mayan Riviera.
Kayaking.We have kayaks and snorkeling equipment available for exploring the reef. Fishing guides are available extra.
Scuba and snorkeling.Banco Chinchorro is a protected reserve that is teaming with marine life. Considered one of the top five in the world!
