This is a great class to get things started in your kitchen for 2017 ! We will learn proper care of your knives and the various qualities of knives. We will learn about proper grip of the kniffe depending on which kind you are using. Then we will learn some essential cutting skills. How to quickly chop onions, peel garlic, cut carrots, dice celery, roll cut mushrooms, cut beans, peppers and finely chop herbs etc. Of course we will eat some of these vegetables in a delicous coconut curried vegetable soup and a fine succotash of mixed vegetables as a side. Also one of my favorite preparations of carrots in a dijon, brown sugar and butter sauce that takes minutes! You can bring your own knives if you wish but there will knives provided for the class both pairing and French knives.
